History

It all began in 1959...

when Wilhelm Harms and his brother-in-law Walter Reimer started making sausages. Derived from their surnames, the hareico Fleischwaren GmbH & Co. KG was created.

Since 1967, hareico sausage products were made in a 7,000 square metre-factory in Halstenbek / Pinneberg. In the fall of 1992, a 2,500 square metre-factory in Halstenbek’s sister city Lübz was added.

From the beginning until today, wiener and schinkenkrakauer sausages have guaranteed the company’s success.

In 1999, hareico with premises in Schleswig-Holstein and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania was taken over by Dölling. Together, both companies form the Döllinghareico group.

The founders’ commitment to first-class products made in the artisan tradition of Schleswig-Holstein is true until today.

Our continued technological development as well as our employees’ long-standing experience guarantee highest quality that shows in the unique taste, modern product ranges and guaranteed premium quality.
